Unveiling the Gold Within Your Organization: A Call for Collaborative Action around AI, people and performance!

Are you tired of the gap between brilliant ideas and stagnant performance? You’re not alone. For 45+ years, I’ve witnessed countless organizations struggling with turning ideas into reality. The culprit? The Shadow: the common chasm between good intentions and successful implementation, often fueled by disengagement and subpar facilitation.

This isn’t a new story. This from 1925:

Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls The Shadow

— From T.S. Eliot’s “The Hollow Men” (1925)

The poem laments the disillusionment and difficulty of taking action. It perfectly mirrors the challenges we face in workplaces today where there is little real collaboration between teams and where people are more and more isolated with technology..

The future workplace with AI may look more like this, noting that it would be hard to depict the actuality of how the remote-worker collective workspace would operate. Think of a library or a tupical coffee shop. Isolation is The Norm!

AI and the isolation of working, called Coffee Shop Collaboration

A reality of people performing on their phones and laptops in the workplace of the future.

Instead of organizatiopns settling for “Coffee Shop Collaboration”, where people simply go through the motions of working together, it’s time for you to ignite real collaboration and positive action within your workgroups.

Here’s where The Search for The Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine can play a role. Dutchman is an engaging team-building game that isn’t just about finding gold; it’s about unearthing the collaborative potential within and among your teams. It is about moving them away from competition and into a much more collaborative mindset. Through the game, participants:

  • Spark creative ideas: The Dutchman facilitates innovative solutions for real-world performance improvement in your organization. It really does! And it shows the gap between ideas and implementation.
  • Experience cognitive dissonance: This “Aha!” moments foster the motivation to break free from unproductive patterns and embrace new approaches. They make choices and see they could make better choices when it comes to planning and cooperation between teams.
  • Develop facilitation skills: Supervisors learn effective engagement techniques to inspire and empower their teams.

But here’s the best part: With a collaboration with Nyra Leadership Consulting, we are not bundling this effective team building exercise with their various leadership development training programs. It is not just about “playing a game” but about aligning the behaviors of play with the real issues around organizational improvement.
